Head of the ''Civil Engineering B 49'' department (m/f/d)

As a field manager, you will give the clock a professional and organizational step. You control projects and create the framework conditions so that your employees can work successfully – in close coordination with the specialist department management and all project participants. In the field of “Ingenieurbau B 49 “, You develop important technical contributions, in particular for planning and construction preparation, and thus support the parallel-acting field “Planung B 49” in the planning and construction law procurement of the projects in the project area Wetzlar. Your main activities: Leadership & Human Resources: You lead and develop an interdisciplinary field of expertise (including engineers, technicians, technicians) and ensure clear priorities, roles and good cooperation. Program & Project Management: You plan and control work and financing programs and keep in mind costs, dates and quality and set standards in project work. Planning & contractor representation: You are responsible for the proper implementation of the building plans according to the current state of science and technology as well as according to regulations of the federal and state. Contract management: You ensure the creation of performance descriptions and supervise engineering assignments as well as the contractual processing (including according to HOAI). Construction preparation up to billing: Depending on the project, you are responsible for tendering, procurement, construction monitoring and billing according to VOB (for partial services, e.g. building ground exploration). Communication & Coordination: You coordinate internal and external participants, secure the flow of information and represent the subject area bindingly inward and outward.

Qualification: You have a completed university degree (University Diploma / Master) Civil engineering – ideally focusing on constructive engineering – or a comparable qualification. Experience: You bring multi-year practice in engineering (planning and/or construction processing) and a secure understanding of time, cost and quality control, knowledge in the handling of common tools/processes (e.g. E-Vergabe, iTWO or similar) are desirable. Rulework knowledge: You are routined in dealing with relevant rules and procedures, e.g. HOAI, VOB, as well as legal basis. Working: You work and act analytical, decision-making, structured – and you bring things to the goal pragmatically. Communication: You have very good knowledge of German (cf. Level C1) and a sovereign, appreciative appearance. Mobility: You have a class B driving licence (service travel is included). Leadership competence: Ideally, you have experience in managing teams or in the professional management of several project participants.
