Our offices in Bremen are located in the middle of our plan area on the overseas island, in the overseas city and directly on the Weser. From here we reach all construction projects in Bremen virtually “on foot” and coordinate and manage further projects and objects on Norderney, Rømø and Borkum, in Hamburg, Hanover and Lübeck. As a polisher, you take a central role at the construction site and make sure that the works are structured, secure and implemented on site. You coordinate the construction site staff and the subcontractors, maintain quality, appointments and processes in mind and are an important interface between construction site, construction management and project management. Your tasks: Organisation, monitoring and coordination of activities at the construction site. Management and management of the construction site staff and subcontractors. Ensuring compliance with construction schedules, quality standards and safety regulations at the construction site. Monitoring the progress of construction and daily monitoring of the work in terms of quality, quantity and time requirements. Support of the construction management in the planning and implementation of construction measures, in particular in the case of scheduling and material disposition. Regular coordination with the construction and project management, the specialist planners and contractors. Solution of problems and conflicts at the construction site to ensure a smooth construction process. Documentation of the progress of construction and production of building day reports and quality controls. Control of supplies and acceptance of services of subcontractors. Ensure occupational safety by monitoring compliance with safety regulations.

Successfully completed training in construction, ideally as a polish, master or technician in construction. At least three years of professional experience as a polisher or in a comparable position, preferably in construction. Knowledge of construction processes and the coordination of construction projects. Outstanding leadership and experience in the management of construction site personnel and subcontractors. Good knowledge of construction planning, material disposition and timing. High self-initiative, organisational strength and resilience. Safe handling of common office applications and design-specific software. Very good knowledge of German in word and writing; English skills are of advantage.
