Career changer as a two-way excavator operator

As a construction equipment manager:in two-way excavators you are responsible for driving the vehicles and supports your team at the construction site. At the next possible time, we are looking for a cross-entry as a two-way excavator driver:in (w/m/d) at DB Bahnbau Group GmbH in Essen, Halle (Saale) or Hanau. You start in practice at our construction site. Then we prepare you for your job start in the 12-month internal retraining.

This is what awaits you in retraining:

• Retraining takes place in full time (39 hours/week) and consists of theoretical and practical classes
• The theoretical teaching can take place at various locations in Germany, your practical assignments take place at the construction site
• If you have successfully completed your qualification as driver:in

After your retraining, you take the following activities:

• You are for safe and proper operation of construction equipment such as e.g. two-way triggers and other lead-guided construction machines in the field of the establishment of overhead lines
• Together with your colleagues, you prepare breaks and manoeuvres and carry out the subsequent work in the field of deep and superconductor construction
• One of the main tasks is the punctual and economic design, taking into account current requirements and regulations of accident prevention
• The easy maintenance and maintenance of construction equipment, the transfer of vehicles and the execution of material transport complete your task

Your profile:

• You are a construction engineer:in, low-farmer or have successfully completed a comparable vocational training in the field of construction or craft
• The willingness to Germany-wide assembly operations, as well as shift work (even night shift, holiday and weekend work, depending on the order) is ahead of you
• Your medical and psychological aptitude is detected in the selection process by a medical examination
• Good knowledge of the German language in word and font (B2 level with proof) and a valid class B driving licence complete your profile
