The Federal Office for Constitutional Protection (BfV) makes a significant contribution to the security of citizens as a domestic news service of the Federal Republic of Germany.

As Head of Unit in the field of cyber defence, you are significantly involved in cyber security in Germany. Through your well-founded IT skills and expertise, you will support and advise yourself on the defense of potential cyber attacks. You contribute to the identification of victims and possible perpetrators, evaluate network data and create extensive technical reports. Their interest in technical development helps to identify and evaluate trends in information technology at an early stage. In addition, you will sensitize external stakeholders on IT security issues through your persuasiveness and expressiveness. With the help of your enforcing ability and your negotiating skills, you are not only successfully managing your team, but also representing the house to our national and international partners.

You have German citizenship and a completed master's degree (or comparable) in the fields: computer science or information technology; or Electrical engineering or mathematics with IT focus or in a comparable technical or scientific study course with a clear IT reference. In addition, you need a minimum. 18 months of work experience as a lead of a comparable organizational unit.
