Strategic Buyer Energy Purchasing (m/f/d)

Development, implementation and continuous development of the energy purchasing and product group strategy for electricity, natural gas, hydrogen, heat, emission certificates and energy-related services, as well as ensuring economic, sustainable and risk- minimised medium to long-term energy supply Analysis of energy needs, load profiles and consumption forecasts, coordination of procurement strategy with areas and locations, development and implementation of hedging and risk management and decarbonisation strategies, including Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and evidence of origin (GoO) planning, preparation, implementation and evaluation of national and international tenders, auctions, tender procedures and negotiations; Negotiation, conclusion and management of energy supply contracts, long-term energy supply models and strategic partnerships with energy suppliers, direct marketers, project developers, network operators and energy service providers Implementation of market and regulatory analyses, active energy and supplier risk management (geopolitic, regulatory, market-side), identification of contractual deviations and support in claim and escalation management over the entire contract lifecycle Coordination of all energy-relevant supplier relationships (“One Face to the Supplier”), Ensuring the application of all relevant procurement and sustainability levers, cooperation with internal interfaces (production, sustainability, treasury, law, controlling, facility management), participation in investment decisions, audits and ESG reports as well as cross-site activity incl. Travel and supplier visits

Complete university studies in the energy industry, economic engineering, business management, utility technology or a comparable discipline or Professional training with multiannual relevant professional experience in strategic purchasing, energy purchasing or in the energy industry as well as specialist training Multiannual professional experience in strategic energy purchase or energy management of an industrial company; sound knowledge of European and international energy and raw material markets, structured procurement models, hedging strategies, power purchase agreements (PPA), proof of origin (GoO), green electricity procurement, CO2 management and the European emission trading system (EU-ETS); safe handling of ERP systems and data analysis/reporting tools Representative negotiating strength, strategic thinking and high commercial understanding combined with strong numerical and data affinity; well-founded experience in analysis and negotiation of complex contracts independent, analytical and structured functioning as well as high communication, moderation and presentation competence; very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing, high responsibility and self-initiative awareness, pronounced conflict and problem-solving competence High team and collaborative capacity in interdisciplinary working environments, technical affinity and interest in energy and climate policy developments, intercultural competence and willingness to travel
