The Klinik für Psychiatrie, Psychotherapie und Psychosomatik is an academic teaching hospital of Charité-Universitätsmedizin Berlin and has the psychiatric care obligation for the district Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg. It includes 38 home treatment (station equivalent treatment, stalls), 64 day clinician and 162 full-station treatment sites and about 3,000 outpatient treatment sites. An early intervention and therapy center (FRITZ am Urban) with a specialized stationary, semi-stationary and outpatient offer for young people with first psychotic episodes has been established. The clinic operates a therapy unit for dialectic-behavioral therapy (DBT) in people with emotionally unstable disorders and for interpersonal therapy (IPT) in people with depression. Furthermore, there are units for crisis intervention, for the treatment of dependency diseases, for the psychiatry of the higher age of life and for the ACT-psychosis treatment. The Safewards concept was implemented and evaluated on the two acute stations. Supported employment is implemented according to the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model, and peer employees are part of the treatment teams. In addition, the clinic has two daily clinics as well as two institute hospitals and participates in an early detection center for growing people with mental crises (soulspace) in the district.
