Chief Engineer for major projects (m/f/d)

Lateral leadership/team management and methodological guidance of overall system development (system engineering, requirements management, system architecture, integration and validation) across several departments and areas for large-scale projects (e.g. Luchs2) Coordination, leadership and further development of interdisciplinary engineering teams as well as external employees Reporting to project management and management on technical progress and challenges incl. the required key figures analysis, testing and specification determination; the creation and testing of cost estimates; defining appropriate supply packages for supply creation for the development of system solutions in the context of development contracts in coordination with the project manager and the system engineers; Moderation and decision in different technical solutions Responsible for the development of the overarching system architecture for highly complex overall systems as well as the establishment of comprehensive technical requirements for the overall system in accordance with the contractual requirements technical structuring of the project to achieve a consistent system design; Ensuring the description and development of subsystems and components with a variety of links and interfaces based on the requirements of the customer or the project management and in coordination with the participating departments ensuring the quality of the order in coordination with system engineers and project managers; ensuring proper technical documentation; Decision/responsibility of corrective measures in the event of discrepancies consulting the project and product management and our customers on technical questions; Cooperation with the strategy for the program/product on technical product development Ensuring compliance with quality standards, schedules and budget requirements Identification and management of technical risks and development of solutions Close cooperation with stakeholders, customers and suppliers to ensure the technical requirements in the context of time and costs Implementation and control of design reviews, tests and validation processes Mentoring and Development of Technical Managers and Engineers (w/m/d)

Complete studies in systems engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, computer science, automation technology or a comparable technical field Long-standing experience in system engineering and the handling of complex overall systems, preferably in military or safety-critical environment Knowledge of requirements engineering/management Very good knowledge of system modeling methods Experience with architectural development for complex mechatronic systems and sensory and software-intensive products Leadership experience of advantage Practical experience with mCAD, eCAD and SAP is beneficial Very good knowledge of the V-model, agile approach models (agiles Systems Engineering) and classic project management detectable experience in (lateral) leadership, team moderation/coordination and methodological skills of teams Very pronounced ability to quickly capture complex relationships and derive measures Embossed communication skills and structured and analytical methods Entrepreneurial thinking and the ability to combine technical decisions with business interests Enthusiasm and very high self-motivation German and English skills
