Packaging machines are becoming increasingly networked and digital. This also increases the requirements for stable OT networks, secure machine communication and reliable security components in the product and customer environment. As a OT Operations Specialist - Network & Security, you will ensure that our product- and customer-oriented OT network and security solutions work reliably, develop and be brought into practice in a comprehensible manner. You analyze technical issues, support malfunctions and safety assessments and help establish robust standards for safe machine connections.

You continue to operate, care and develop product/OT network and security solutions. You ensure the functionality, up-to-date and operational reliability of relevant OT and security components, including patches, configuration maintenance and maintenance of standard and special profiles. You analyze and evaluate OT networks, industrial communication and machine connections, for example with regard to IP configuration, VLAN, Routing, NAT, firewall rules, protocols and data transmission. You support the validation, development and simplification of network, NAT and security concepts. You process technical disturbances in the field of OT networks, machine communication and security components and conduct appropriate measures. You check, evaluate, prioritise, process and track relevant tickets in your area of responsibility. You are involved in in incident and vulnerability management, including by triage, technical assessment of impacts and support for patches, workarounds or configuration adjustments. You support Threat Intelligence and Security Monitoring in the OT, network and security context. You clarify and evaluate technical customer requirements and customer requests around OT networks, industrial communication and security. You tune with internal interfaces and prepare technical analysis results for relevant stakeholders.

A completed technical training, a completed study in the field of computer science, electrical engineering, automation technology, network technology or a comparable qualification. Multiannual experience in OT networks, industrial communication, network administration or network security. A very good understanding of network technologies, network architectures and network protocols. Practical experience with network security, firewalls, segmentation, VLAN, routing, NAT and safe machine communication. Technical understanding of OT systems, machine controls and industrial plant environments. Basic knowledge of bus systems, industrial networks and industrial data transmission, for example OPC. Experience in analyzing network problems and communication disorders. Experience in handling incident, ticket or vulnerability management processes in the technical environment. A structured, analytical and independent way of working. Impressed prioritization capability, even in parallel disturbances and escalations. Communication strength and the ability to understand complex technical issues. Good coordination, moderation and coordination in interdisciplinary teams. Customer orientation, solution orientation, decision-making and resilience in time-critical situations. Good knowledge of German and English in word and writing.
