The core tasks of the department include ensuring a sustainable, cost-optimized energy supply and energy production, safeguarding our energy saving goals by optimizing energy efficiency and constantly developing the energy management system, developing our disposal strategy and reducing our water consumption by closing water circuits. For Mercedes-Benz Group AG and Mercedes-Benz Operations, the Energy Management Building Units team controls the energy management system and the energy efficiency of the sites, the further development of the key figures systems and the pursuit of the goal achievement via all energy KPIs in the cross-departmental projects. The internship in the field of “Energy Management Building Plants” at the Bremen site includes diverse tasks that provide a comprehensive insight into our sustainable production: Participation in creating documents for top management

Implementation of the requirements for the energy management system and its further development

Coordination and control of energy optimization activities

Self-education and tuning of (partial) work packages and project topics for energy optimization

Participation in the further development of our energy communication strategy

Working with the planning and implementation of training concepts and training

Cooperation in the determination and optimization of large consumers and in the economic assessment of energy efficiency measures using EnEffCo

Development and production of energy indicators for consumption analysis by EnEffCo

Creation and development of energy bills with external and internal customers using EnEffCo

Participation in official reports such as energy tax, electricity tax, NEV notifications and other

Cross-location work in the team on 4 construction plants in Europe

The activity can begin from August 2026.

Programme in the field of energy management/energy management, electrical engineering, economic engineer, business informatics or a comparable degree programme

Secure knowledge of German and English in word and writing

Safe handling of MS Office

Commitment and team skills

Analytical thinking and strategic working

General energy understanding is advantageous
