The SOS-Kinderdorf e.V. is a well-known aid organisation and a free, non-profit body of child and youth assistance with 38 facilities throughout the federal territory and around 5,200 employees. The SOS Children's Village Schwerin offers children and adolescents as well as their families and relatives different offers of support in the field of education. In Schwerin we are in the field of outpatient and stationary aids for education. At the SOS Children's Village of Schwerin we are looking for a moment Social trainee / Heilpädagogin for our new children's group in the Lankow district (w/m/d) in permanent employment, full-time or part-time (min. 25 - max. 38.5 h/w) In the spring of 2026, we opened a new children's group in the Lankow district for eight children aged 4 to 14 years, who want a protected place, family relations and loving companionship.

Your task: As a teammate, you are part of this process from the outset: Together with seven colleagues, You are building up the structures of the housing group, actively assessing the educational orientation and shaping an everyday life that conveys stability, orientation and warmth. Your tasks include: educational support and support of children in everyday life and the creation of a safe, stable and development-leading environment sensitive monitoring of children and targeted enhancement of their emotional development, self-perception and social skills Support in conflict and crisis situations where you give guidance to children, deescalate and develop appropriate solutions and behaviour strategies together Planning and implementation of varied leisure, play and group offers, the joy, participation, security and personal development of possible close and valuable cooperation with the children's origin systems and with external specialists active participation in the team, e.g. in team meetings, case meetings, supervision and further training With design and further development of the educational concept of the housing group Cooperation with the Youth Office as part of the aid plan process Documentation of pedagogical work and preparation of reports in electronic case files conscientious implementation of the children - and shelter
