As a professional association, we are committed to safety and occupational safety in companies. With around 3,000 employees, we ensure that 5 million people from the wood and metal industries can work safely. And if something happens, we support those affected by all appropriate means on their way back to an independent (working) life. We are also a strong service provider in the IT sector, as other professional associations and accident insurance companies are our partners and benefit from our know-how in IT systems and processes of the public service. The IT organizations of the BGHM and the VBG work in a joint operation, the NOVA. The NOVA has the right to use current technologies in a safe and timely manner and to continuously develop and adapt IT solutions. The focus is on the development of our own application systems as well as the adaptation and integration of various standard software products. Short decision-making, independent work and a good working atmosphere characterize the NOVA and lead the work in interdisciplinary teams to a common success. Through our versatile tasks, all of us find the area of responsibility that fits one.

Technologies of tomorrow: Learn how to implement applications based on Microsoft technologies, such as C# (.NET) or ABAP (SAP) & Co., or develop modern surfaces using current frameworks. Individual solutions instead of 08/15: You work on tailor-made applications that improve our working day – and which are really needed. Teamplay instead of single combat mode: In agile developer teams you are in the middle of it – from the first sprint to the final release.
