Number: MER00047JP In the Mercedes-Benz Cars development, we design the automotive generations of the future. We create innovative products with the highest quality. We are already working on drives that will secure the technology leadership of Mercedes-Benz in the future. In our Mechanics Diesel & Combustion/Abgas/OBD Diesel Vans department, we as a team are responsible for the component durability and functionality of the engine in the VAN applications over the entire product lifetime. In the course of the internship, you will see the development chain of the entire engine from the testing plan for test benches and vehicle tests to thermal heat and cold fuses to component and total engine release. In addition, we are responsible for the development of the oil circuits (pressureless) for all diesel and petrol engines (including AMG) You want to get an insight into these exciting tasks of engine development at Mercedes-Benz? Then you're right with us! These tasks come to you: Working in the planning and execution of measurements on engine or component test benches

Participation in the evaluation and tracking of the test status of the individual subprojects (engine setup, engine life, engine result)

Cooperation in the preparation and evaluation of results from test bench and vehicle tests

Presentation of results in technical meetings

Participation in the coordination and initiation of component tests and parts measurements

Working with the analysis and documentation of run test carriers and components

That's what you bring: Mechanical Engineering, Vehicle Engineering or a comparable degree course

Secure knowledge of German and English in word and writing

Safe handling of MS Office especially Excel

Experience with evaluation software, e.g. Uniplot or DIAdem is desirable

team spirit, strategic working, engagement, analytical thinking, communication skills

Affinity for cars and engines as well as technical understanding

Knowledge of internal combustion engines and thermomechanics are desirable

Other: Class B licence desirable
