For this exciting and versatile environment, we are looking for a business unit manager (m/w/d) real estate strategy and development at the next possible time and in an indefinite fixed position.

In this responsible function, you report real estate directly to the managing director of the management area II and, in close cooperation with your business group, create forward-looking structures in your business area for building project management and integrated facility management. At the core, you are responsible for managing the business unit with a focus on key topics (including standards, sustainability, BIM), portfolio and area management as well as the development and strategic management of construction projects.

Technical and disciplinary management of the real estate strategy and development business unit and the establishment of an interdisciplinary team responsible for both strategy and control as well as the standards for building and real estate management Development of future-oriented organisational structures and processes in the business sector as a basis for the further growth of the company Implementation of strategic market analyses and competition monitoring to integrate business opportunities and trends in the real estate sector into the real estate services Proactive design of a forward-looking real estate strategy and development of innovative concepts in the fields of construction and operation, sustainability and cost-effectiveness Development and implementation of portfolio strategies and investment decisions as well as management of area management taking account of cost-effectiveness and user satisfaction Development and implementation of ESG strategies with focus on CO2 reduction, energy optimization and sustainable building standards Responsibility for development (LPH 0-2 HOAI) and strategic management of our construction projects in housing, social and special construction Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including authorities, investors and partners to acquire new projects Development and implementation of risk identification and mitigation strategies in construction and development projects Controlling the inventory and construction status assessment of over 220 properties for the systematic analysis of the structural and energetic substance as well as its efficiency and potentials Planning and strategic control of a cross-departmental transformation project to implement an IT-based inventory data management Responsibility for designing and maintaining standards, work instructions and action recommendations Responsibility for compliance, legal requirements and applicable legal bases in your business area Management of reporting, presentation of management reports and organization of strategically important building committees to enable sound decisions

Completed academic studies (Master/Diplom), ideally in architecture, civil engineering, real estate, economic engineering, business management or comparable qualifications Multiannual professional experience in building and/or real estate management or in project management, preferably with reference to strategic real estate development Multiannual disciplinary leadership experience, ideally from an interdisciplinary team/business area Knowledge and practical experience with quality standards in building and/or operating buildings Existing network in the construction industry as well as experience in the acquisition of construction projects is desirable Experiences in dealing with BIM (Building Information Modeling) and CAFM (Computer-Aided Facility Management) as well as in the management of transformation projects are advantageous Knowledge in public procurement, construction (HOAI, AHO and VOB) and contract law as well as in the field of compliance are a plus point Entrepreneurial and strategic thinking combined with high performance and enforcement strength High communication strength at different levels and strong creativity and innovative strength Secure appearance, also in political context, and negotiating strength complete your profile Ability to develop and implement innovative solutions and concepts in real estate strategy and development Willingness to continuously develop and implement new technologies and methods in the real estate sector Experience in cooperation with partners from politics, associations and real estate
