For our Business Unit (BU) multisensory coordinate measuring instruments (mCMM), we are looking for a leadership personality with expertise in firmware and algorithm development. You lead an innovative team and develop innovative and customer-oriented solutions that enhance the precision and efficiency of our measuring instruments to a new level.

Your role Leadership & Team Development: You take over the professional and disciplinary leadership of a team of firmware and algorithm developers: You actively shape the future of our product development in an internationally operating company.

Mentoring & Coaching: You promote the professional and personal development of your team members through targeted coaching, training as well as regular, constructive feedback and establish a trusting, valuable feedback culture.

Interdisciplinary cooperation: In close coordination with hardware development, quality assurance, product management and other international stakeholders, you ensure integrated, consistent product development.

Firmware Architecture & Development: You are responsible for designing and developing firmware solutions for real-time and embedded systems, making architectural decisions and ensuring scalability, wartability and performance.

Quality & Best Practices: You establish and optimize software engineering standards (e.g. Code Reviews, CI/CD, Test Strategies, Coding Guidelines) and ensure high quality, reliability and safety of the developed firmware.

Regulatory Requirements & Cyber Security: You ensure that legal and normative requirements as well as cyber security requirements in the embedded environment are taken into account and implemented in all development processes.

Innovation & Technology Scouting: You identify relevant technologies, tools and trends around firmware, real-time and embedded systems and integrate them into our development processes.

Completed studies in computer science, technical computer science, electrical engineering or a comparable technical degree course.

Multiannual experience in firmware/embedded development and experience in the disciplinary and/or lateral guidance of development teams. Knowledge of programming languages such as C, C++ and real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded systems.

Experience in the implementation of modern and agile development methods (e.g. Git, Agile, Scrum)

Ideally, you already bring experience with legal and normative requirements (e.g. in industrial/device development) as well as with cyber security requirements in the embedded environment.
