The Fraunhofer Society is one of the world's leading organisations for application-oriented research. 75 institutes develop groundbreaking technologies for our economy and society – more precisely: 32 000 people from technology, science, administration and IT. You know, who comes to Fraunhofer wants and can change something. For yourself, for us and the markets of today and tomorrow. Founded in 1985, the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Systems and Component Technology IISB is an institute of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft to promote applied research e.V. Together with partners from industry and science, the Fraunhofer IISB and its currently 420 employees develop new processes, materials, manufacturing equipment and methods of semiconductor technology for microelectronics and nanoelectronics from crystal culture to component. The second focus is the development of power electronics components and power electronics systems for energy efficiency, hybrid and electric cars. The Fraunhofer IISB offers dedicated employees challenging tasks with responsibility and design space. In our clean room, which is operated jointly by the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg and by the Fraunhofer IISB, customer-specific components and prototypes are produced on different novel semiconductor materials. We work together interdisciplinary on approximately 1000 square meters of clean room area. Do you have the pleasure of carrying out production steps in the clean room independently and are not afraid of practical activities? Then we look forward to your application as a technical assistant*in in our technology area »Back End« within the department »Front End«! !

You independently and responsibly take over various production steps in the cleanroom of our back-end area – including the thinning, grinding, bonding, debonding and adhesive bonding of wafers, in particular silicon and silicon carbide. You equip, maintain, repair and operate the respective systems independently so that you actively contribute to the functional reliability of the systems and process stability. You perform process control measurements and evaluate the results carefully to ensure the quality of our products. Your work results document you reliably in the production control system and thus ensure transparency and traceability in the production process. With your analytical approach, you develop solutions to improve manufacturing processes and successfully implement them together with quality assurance. In addition, you support the conditioning of the systems. After a sufficient time of incorporation, you also take over plant responsibility and process processes in a perspective.
