Your tasks • Your profile • What we offer

Do you know yourself with naval ships, keep an overview even in complex situations and want to actively shape a pioneering large project in naval shipbuilding? Then fit us perfectly! As a project manager for training equipment and agricultural equipment, you take over the overall responsibility for a challenging subproject and work to ensure that crews of modern marine vessels can be optimally trained. In doing so, you combine technical expertise with sovereign project management and act as a central interface to internal departments, external partners and customer representation. Your tasks – versatile and forward-looking: The overall responsibility for your subproject in the field of training and agricultural equipment is yours. This includes the professional management of a team of 5-8 employees and the control of all associated work packages. The focus of your responsibility is: construction of training centres at various North German locations, technical specification and decrease of agricultural equipment for individual ship components (e.g. boat landing devices or RAS plants) and for simulators for the reproduction of complex ship systems; Coordination of digital training resources such as eLearning and VR/AR applications

Through a structured interface management, you ensure smooth cooperation between internal departments, external partners, subcontractors and customer representation including capacity, conflict and escalation management. You ensure that quality, dates, budget and contractual requirements are complied with and regularly report to the overall project management and the line organisation. In case of any deviations or changes, you evaluate the situation, initiate appropriate measures and actively participate in risk, claim and change management as well as in the change of the project. With clear communication, you represent your subproject to customers, subcontractors and partners and contribute to the further development of technical and methodological standards in the organization.

Complete technical studies, e.g. in mechanical engineering, shipbuilding, industrial engineering, ship operating technology or a comparable qualification Multiannual professional experience in naval shipbuilding, maritime industry or in technically demanding large projects Funded project management knowledge, ideally with certification (e.g. IPMA Level B-C) and experience in the professional leadership of teams First knowledge of the training of ship crews desirable Communication strength, negotiation skills and enforcement skills in German and English Secure handling of MS Office and willingness to work on project-related tools Embossed analytical and structured mode of operation, high conception and a solution-oriented approach High responsiveness, resilience and joy in working with different stakeholders in complex projects Readiness to travel in Northern Germany (approx. 10-50%)
